Bok Sanctuary

Friday, we went to Bok Sanctuary with Marilyn. It was so beautiful. We got there fairly early before it got busy and just walked around and enjoyed the scenery. We saw woodpeckers, a snake, butterflies, swan, bees, squirrels and huge koi. It was breezy and just so tranquil. Morgan didn't know what to do when the breeze would blow her hair. It was so funny. She would just kind of shake her body. After walking for about an hour, we ate lunch at the cafe and then checked out the gift shop before going home. It was so nice spending time with Marilyn. After that, we had to go back to the clinic and finish all the blood drawing. It was just as awful as the first time, but we finally got all the tubes they needed. I feel so bad for Morgan. She gets so terrified and upset. Her little head was just soaked. To help calm her, we went and fed the swans around Lake Morton and she really seemed to enjoy that. It was a good day. Morgan is doing so well. She is walking more and only has to hold one of my hands now. She is sleeping so good at night and during nap time. She's such a blessing.

Morgan is taking a bath all by herself!

Morgan has started taking a bath all by herself! I just couldn't resist taking some "naked" shots. Everyone loves them when we get older right??? Morgan is doing so well. She is trying to eat all by herself and she is getting stronger everyday. I am still trying so hard to get her to say "mama", but she just says, "huh?". Hopefully, soon. She is also starting to entertain herself. She will play in her room, and at night, she plays with her animals in her crib and just giggle. It is so funny. One night, I walked in there and she had turned herself around and was laughing and jumping her body all over. It was hysterical. Last night, she was sideways and had her feet on the side of the crib trying to make it move. She's so funny. She still has the nose splint in, but she doesn't need the arm restraints cause she doesn't even mess with the nose splint. She's amazing. She's teething, so her spirits haven't been the greatest, poor thing. That is all for now.

Happy Valentine's Day

Morgan received a package from her grandpa and nana Ruth today for Valentine's Day. She didn't know what to think. There were bracelets, socks, onesies, cup, lip purse, and suckers. Thank you grandpa and nana Ruth! Since we are meeting the social worker tomorrow, I had to put the onesie and sunglasses on her and take some pictures. She was so cute. I forgot about the red checked shoes too! How adorable. She's my little ham! Have a great Valentine's day everyone!

After Surgery Pictures

Here are just a few pictures of Morgan since she has had her surgery. It's been 1 1/2 weeks and she is really starting to show her smile again. She has to wear the nose stent for about 2 more weeks and then at night for 3 months. It falls out every night and taping doesn't help. I truly believe Morgan knows she is home now. She is falling asleep in her crib during nap time and it only takes about 10 minutes to get her asleep at night now. It is just amazing. She loves bath time now also. The trick of me getting in there with her did wonders. She loves to splash. She thinks it's so funny. Tomorrow, we are going to get blood drawn to see where shes at with her immunizations. I really hope some of them took. It just kills me when she hurts. It's worse cause she doesn't understand what is going on. I keep telling myself, "atleast she won't remember most of the things she's going through right now". That helps me get through it. Thursday, we are seeing our social worker for the first post placement visit. We've got a busy week. Take care everyone. Until next time...
