Puppy Love

Morgan is getting a puppy in a few weeks. Our friends are giving her a Welsh Corgi (not sure of the correct spelling). We had to go visit the puppies and pick one out. The one that Morgan really seemed to enjoy was named "Shay". We are very excited about Shay. We bought her a pretty collar, leash and a new bowl. I was not really sure this was the best idea to bring a puppy into the house, but the more I thought about it I realized that Daisy and Tango were not going to be around forever and I really thought it would be great to have Morgan grow up with a dog or cat. The transition is going to be very hard, but I think it will all work out in the end.

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!

Today is the first day of the Chinese New Year. This year is the Year of the Ox. Miss Morgan took all her little friends at daycare a red envelope with 2 plastic gold coins and a firecracker filled with candy. For dinner we went to Rita's for chinese food, of course. Morgan wore one of the outfits that I brought back from China. She was just so adorable. Morgan received a beautiful New year card that I bought from chinasprout with $5 in it. She was very excited.

Gotcha Day! 1 Year Later

Wednesday is our Gotcha Day anniversary. It's so hard to believe that one year has passed. Sometimes, it's still hard to believe that Morgan is actually here. I still remember first holding Morgan as she is screaming and crying and so upset. She was the only baby there that was so upset. Her hair was soaked from all the crying and sweating. Poor baby. That day was the hardest day of my life, I think. I have never felt so helpless. 24 hours later, she was like a completely different child. Just amazing. I look back and am just amazed at how far Morgan has come. She wasn't even crawling much when I got her and now she is running around the yard. She's such a happy baby. She is definitely my pride and joy. I can't imagine life without her now.

We are going to celebrate by going out to dinner. From all the things I brought back from China for little miss Morgan, she is going to get a panda nesting doll and a little jade bracelet.
